Alpha Center for Family Preservation is committed to offering educational programming to the wider community through its Community Education Programs. Programs are geared towards providing individuals and families with valuable information regarding parenting, relationships, family transitions, and financial and legal issues.

Parents & Children

"Redefining Family After Divorce"

This class is designed to help parents become proactive in reducing the stresses resulting from separation or divorce within their family. Learn skills to redefine your relationship as partners in parenting and to communicate and co-parent productively. This workshop provides valuable information to aid parents in understanding and addressing their children's feelings and fears.

Separation & Divorce

" Your Legal Rights"

This informational class addresses how the divorce process works in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. This course will explain and address the many legal, financial, and practical matters that need to be considered by both individuals beginning to think about or who have already begun the divorce process. We will discuss an alternative method to help successfully navigate the divorce process without needing to 'fight it out' in court. An attorney-mediator teaches this course from the Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation.

"Parenting your Teenager"

This course guides participants through the challenges of parenting today's teens. Problem solving, limit setting, and communication skills are reviewed. Parents will learn crucial signs that their child may be experiencing more than typical teen angst. This course is taught by an experienced therapist-mediator from the Alpha Resource Center.

"Your Marriage-From Good to Great!"

This course teaches participants skills that can help deepen their relationship, including improving communication, learning positive conflict resolution, planning as a couple, and facing parenting challenges. Individuals and couples are welcome to attend. This course is taught by an experienced therapist-mediator from the Alpha Resource Center.

"Finances for Families"

This course helps participants take control of their family finances in today's challenging economic conditions. Participants will learn intelligent spending and saving, budgeting effectively, saving for college, and planning for retirement. This course is taught by an experienced financial professional-mediator from the Alpha Resource Center.
